In the May to October season, the SW winds pick up, though sailing is still sheltered in most of the cruising area. Langkawi on the west coast s a very pleasant sailing destination all year but in the summer months Tioman on the east coast has better sailing conditions. The area is tidal with a range of approximately 2m. Experience Level 2.
