Sailing Holidays

Suggested sailing itinerary south to Korcula

DAY 1 : Embark at Trogir. A UNESCO World Heritage site with a historic walled town.
DAY 2 : Bobovisce (21nm) on Brac Island is a small village harbour, good for  provisions.
DAY 3 : Starigrad (22nm) on Hvar Island is a lively resort, not quite as busy as Hvar Town. In addition to the harbours at Hvar town, Stari Grad, Vrboska and Jelsa, there are many other small harbours and anchorages. Palmazina is a popular anchorage with a lively restaurant and a water taxi across the strait to Hvar Town for sightseeing.
DAY 4 : Vela Luka (30nm) lies on the western coast of Korcula Island and has a natural port in a  deep inlet, which protects it from the open sea and offers a safe anchorage to boats. The coast is splendid and uncontaminated and there are places of great archaeological interest
DAY 5 : Viz (24nm) has remained unspoilt by tourism. Overnight at Komiza and visit the Blue Caves in the morning.
DAY 6 : Solta  offers a choice of unspoilt town quays, small marinas and little fishing harbours. Maslinica (25nm) has restaurants and provisions in the village.
DAY 7 : Return to Trogir (14nm). For your last evening take a stroll across the bridge to the historic walled city.

"I would like to report that we had an excellent holiday sailing the Aeolian Islands courtesy of SunSicily on 'Senza Dubbi'. Our travelling arrangements were complex but the necessary transfers were arranged extremely well. The "yacht handover" at Portorosa was quick, timely and efficient; and the free taxi service to and from the supermarket made provisioning of our vessel the easiest I can ever remember. All in all a first class experience with a special thanks to Francesco at the marina."
