Sailing conditions

Ideal conditions for sailors looking for reliable winds. During the summer months there are steady afternoon breezes, southerly or westerly averaging Force 2-5 dying down at night. Experience level 2.

Summer temperatures average 26-30ºC.

Sailing area

Kotor is the main yacht harbour in the Boka Kotorska fjord, the largest and most beautiful fjord in the Mediterranean, with many inlets, coves and islands. Plan a 1 week sailing holiday in Montenegro to explore the Boka Kotorska fjord and Adriatic coastline. See our suggested sailing itinerary below. In 2 weeks you could also head north into Croatia to visit Dubrovnik.

Yachts are licensed and allowed to sail to Croatia although prior notice needs to be given. Mandatory fees for customs and formalities will apply and are payable with your balance. No crew changes or check in/out will be authorized in Croatian waters when sailing from Montenegro.

Charter yachts

Start your charter in Muo, next to Kotor, just 15 minutes from Tivat airport and 1.5 hours from Dubrovnik. Charters start and finish on Saturdays.

"One of our best ever holidays. Sun, sea and sailing! The term 'social sailing' is spot on, we met some wonderful people, the scenery was spectacular, moorings and anchorages delightful, boat and organisation suited us perfectly and lead crew made our first flotilla holiday truly memorable."
