Brexit

Nautilus Yachting wants to reassure our existing and future clients that we are keeping a very close eye on the constantly changing position of the UK leaving Europe. Regardless of a deal or no deal you may be asking yourself if your current or potential booking is safe with Nautilus Yachting. Please see below our comments and plans we have put in place with the current information available from the authorities.

Can I travel to Europe if the UK leaves with no deal?

There has been confirmation from the EU Parliament that UK citizens won't need a visa to travel to Europe regardless of whether Britain leaves the EU with or without a deal. This ruling means that UK citizens can travel to the EU visa-free for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period, deal or no deal.

ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer said: "It follows on from the confirmation a few weeks ago that flights will continue to operate, even in a no deal. This means that two of the most important concerns for UK tourists and business travellers visiting the EU have been addressed and will provide a further boost to confidence about travel to the EU after Brexit."

Current Bookings - securing your price

Due to the constant fluctuation in currencies as a result of Brexit, Nautilus Yachting has secured a fixed Euro and Dollar exchange rate. This means we can abolish any uncertainty to all clients who have currently booked that the yacht rate will not increase in the event of the pound crashing. Once the deposit has been paid, any new bookings can also have the safety of a locked in price against the Euro.

New Bookings - securing your price

Once the deposit has been paid on any new bookings we will apply the same rule as current bookings and secure a fixed rate against the Euro.

Booking with a UK company is best!

Nautilus Yachting has been established since 1992 and is an ATOL (3016) Tour operator. We are financially audited by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) annually. If you book or plan to book flights through us then your entire package is covered under our ATOL Licence. However if you have booked your own flights you do have the reassurance that the CAA deem us a reliable, trustworthy and financially secure company.

If you are yet to book your next sailing holiday then you may want to book it as part of a package and include flights so you come under our ATOL. We charge a £40/Person booking fee to cover our ATOL expenses.

Check your passports

The UK Government has advised that all travellers to the EU should renew passports which have six months or less left to the expire date. This is normal practice for non EU destinations so hopefully this should not be a problem.

Travel Insurance

Please ensure you and your group have appropriate Travel Insurance that covers the activity of sailing holidays.

The above information is the advice and thoughts of Nautilus Yachting Ltd but please be assured we are watching all developments and potential outcomes of a deal or no deal outcome.
