Sailing Holidays in St Martin

This surprisingly little island embodies a dual personality - half French, half Dutch.

St Martin/St Maarten and the surrounding islands of Anguilla and St Barts offer some of the most spectacular sailing in the Caribbean. Experience beautiful anchorages, stunning sunsets and outstanding restaurants. If you are used to sailing in more crowded sailing areas, you will soon discover that St Martin and the surrounding islands offers remote, unspoilt anchorages and total relaxation for that perfect getaway.

Just half a day’s sail away from St Martin is the beautiful island of Anguilla, renowned for its pristine, white sand beaches and the attraction of the rich and famous, and unbeatable for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. What an ideal place to enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants or a BBQ under the stars! No sailing itinerary would be complete without a trip to St Bart's, known for its wonderful restaurants and picturesque port. Enjoy window shopping and watch the beautiful people as you sip French coffee and enjoy fresh croissants!

DAY 1 : Anse Marcel Marina

Embark at Anse Marcel Marina, a full service marina on the northwest coast with a good choice of bars and restaurants.

 DAY 2 : Anguilla (15nm)

Sail to Anguilla and clear into customs at Road Bay, a charming village set on a lovely beach. Pack your picnic for lunch at Prickly Bay Cays. The snorkeling here is some of the best in the Caribbean.

 DAY 3 : St Barts (32nm)

The sail south is a fast tack and Tintamarre makes a good midday stop for a beach picnic. St Barts is favoured by the rich and famous but visiting yachtsmen are welcome at Gustavia's bustling harbour front. Some say the cuisine here is the best in the Caribbean, and there's certainly plenty of choice for restaurants.

 DAY 4 : St Barts

Hire a mini-moke and explore the very pretty island of St Barts. Winding hillside roads afford spectacular views and lead you to excellent beaches.

 DAY 5 : Philipsburg (15nm)

This convivial port is the capital of St Maarten, the Dutch side of the island, and is popular for its bars, restaurants and duty free shopping.

 DAY 6 : Baie Grande Case (17nm)

Choose the beach as you sail round the island - you pass several at Simpson Bay and Marigot Bay but the best is Baie Grand Case, a long sweeping beach and the gastronomic centre of St. Martin.

 DAY 7 : Anse Marcel Marina (5nm)
