Sailing holidays in Sweden
During the short summer season June, July & August the winds are Force 2-4. Summer temperatures around 22°C are similar to southern England but with a lot more hours of sunshine as the sun sets very late.
From Stockholm you can visit the larger islands in the central archipelago, Möja,Runmarö and Nämdö. Right of the edge of the archipelago is Sandhamn, one of the area´s most popular spots, with restaurants and excellent beaches. Other well known islands to discover on your sailing holiday are: Dalarö, Finnhamn, Grinda, Husarö, Ingarö, Isö, Ljusterö, Nämndö, Tynninge, Utö, Svartsö and Värmdö.
A sailing holiday from Gothenburg on the East coast allows you to visit all the picturesque fishing villages with an enormous range of restaurants with fresh seafood, excellent shopping and a genuine archipelago culture. Each community has its own character. Why not stop off and buy fresh prawns, a speciality in this region, or buy live crab and lobster and boil onboard for a tantalising lunch al fresco in one of the beautiful anchorages.
