Yacht Charter Pula & Sailing Holidays Croatia (2024)

Explore the unspoilt islands of the Kvarner Gulf as far south as the Kornati National Park.

Start your sailing holiday from Pula in the north of Croatia and visit the unspoilt islands in the Kvarner Gulf as far south as the Kornati National Marine Park. Visit the beautiful islands of Mali Losinj, Rab, Krk, Cres and Pag where towns still have a medieval heritage.

There is evidence of a long seafaring history starting with the legend of the Argonauts. Nowadays modern and well equipped ports and marinas welcome charter yachts or you can drop anchor in one of the many uncrowded bays. The fragrance of lavender growing in the many lavender fields nearby fills the air and will no doubt always remind you of your trip to this beautiful area.

If you've sailed from Split before, come and explore the Kvarner Gulf with its clear seas and reliable winds on your next sailing holiday. Yacht charters start from marinas close to Pula airport, including ACI Marina Pula right in the heart of Pula, overlooked by the well preserved Roman amphitheatre which dates from the 1st Century AD and is still in regular use for concerts. With Marina Veruda just 5km from the town (12 min drive) and yachts situated in the north of Pula from Rovinj and Portoroza in Slovenia there is so much choice available.

 DAY 1 : Pula

Marina Veruda is a modern marina right in the centre of this historic city.

 DAY 2 : Mal Losinj (34nm)

Sail south to the island of Losinj. The main harbour, Mal Losinj is a pretty harbour with bustling, noisy bars, clubs and restaurants.

 DAY 3 : Ist (26nm)

Further south the island of Ist is shaped like a bow-tie and offers a very popular sheltered anchorage, with official mooring buoys.

 DAY 4 : Rab (30nm)

Heading north-east, be sure to visit Rab. The western side is well protected from the bora wind and the main town of Rab has many historic buildings, all beautifully preserved.

 DAY 5 : Osor (22nm)

Sail round the southern tip of Cres to Osor which lies at the canal separating the islands of Cres and Losinj. The bridge opens twice a day to let yachts pass through the canal.

 DAY 6 : Luka Krnica (21nm)

Due north on the mainland you will find Luka Krnica, just to the west of Zaljev Rasa. This is a picturesque, sheltered bay for an overnight anchorage at the end if your cruise.

 DAY 7 : Pula (18nm)

Sail along the coast of the Istria peninsula back to Pula.
