Discover Thailand in 2025 on the 10 night Thailand flotilla!
After a hugely successful 2024 season, we are pleased to announce that the incredibly popular Thailand flotilla will be running for another season from January to April 2025.
Covering a unique and diverse sailing area, the 10 night Thailand flotilla takes you on a journey to discover the beautiful islands in the Andaman Sea lying to the south of Phuket. Amazing snorkeling, natural wonders, friendly locals and delicious food are just some of the things to enjoy on a sailing holiday in Thailand.
We have rounded up a few of our top destinations on the Thailand flotilla route.
A small island which is a home to two of the enclosed lagoons that Phang Nga Bay is famous for. Making your way through the small entrances to these lagoons (by tender) is an experience in itself but once through to the centre you are struck by the dramatic 100m cliffs that surround the body of water - a very unique experience!
One of the bigger islands in this cruising ground. Koh Lanta has many wonderful beaches stretching all down its western coast. The further south you travel, the more wild and undeveloped you will find the island. Be sure to explore the Mu Koh Lanta National Park.
The two main islands of Phi Phi Leh and Phi Phi Don both have incredible scenery but are a stark contrast in terms of atmosphere. Phi Phi Don has hotels, restaurants and a buzzing nightlife whereas Phi Phi Leh is uninhabited and famous for the beautiful Maya Bay, the location used for ‘The Beach’.
The larger island out of the two Koh Yao islands which are located only 20 minutes from Phuket and yet have managed to remain largely unknown to tourists. On Koh Yao Yai you will still see traditional, rural island life taking place. Laem Had Beach lined with coconut palms is an idyllic spot to spend a few hours.

There are an abundance of fantastic things to do on a holiday in Thailand. A few of our suggestions of top things to do in Thailand are:
The wet season in Thailand is from May to October which brings hot humid weather and heavy rain.
The best time for a Thailand sailing holiday is between December and April, when conditions are warm, dry, and ideal for cruising the Andaman Sea. January to March are especially popular for sunshine, calm seas, and comfortable temperatures.
Prices vary massively in Thailand depending on which region you are in and if you visit the main tourist destinations or stick to more local areas. In general, the cost of living is relatively low. Tourism is a huge economy in Thailand and therefore prices have risen with its popularity however they still are comparatively less than the UK. If you choose a small local restaurant or street food vendor then you will expect to pay a very reasonable price for good local food.
For yacht charters in Thailand you will need a Day Skipper certificate and a VHF license. You will need to provide a sailing resume detailing charter experience in similar types of conditions to those of Thailand.
Temperatures in Thailand range from 25-30 degrees Celsius. You can expect a little rain, however January to April are the driest months of the year. March is the hottest month with average temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius and consistent sunshine. Sea temperatures are similar to the air temperature.
From November to April the predominant winds are from the north, north west and are typically Force 3-4. At the start of the wet season monsoon weather arrives. Thailand is tidal with a range up to 2m. There are local tidal currents.
The Greek government hopes that shelving the requirements will help to ease the wait times seen at airports in other European countries.
