A Thailand flotilla holiday offers the perfect mix of freedom and support. Skipper your own yacht while our experienced lead crew guides the route, assists when needed and organises optional social evenings. Sail among towering limestone islands, swim in crystal-clear waters and discover some of Southeast Asia’s most breathtaking scenery.
Spend 10 days on your boat charter in Thailand, sailing the Andaman Sea, lying to the south of Phuket. Setting sail from Yacht Haven Marina means joining the flotilla is easy, with an array of international flights and only a 20-minute transfer from Phuket International Airport to the marina.
This exciting flotilla holiday will take in some of Thailand's top places to visit, along with some lesser-known, traditional gems. The Phi Phi islands are world-renowned for their lively nightlife and of course, the stunning Maya Bay, surrounded by the area's iconic limestone cliffs. Whilst on Koh Lanta and Koh Yao Noi you can witness the laidback rural island life that continues here. A highlight for many when on a sailing holiday in Thailand is visiting one of the enclosed lagoons. It truly is a surreal experience to emerge from the dark entrances of these lagoons into a stunning turquoise haven surrounded by towering vine-covered limestone cliffs!
The Thailand flotilla promises stunning scenery, delicious food, friendly locals, fantastic snorkelling, and mile upon mile of white sandy beaches. It is a great option for more experienced sailors looking to explore a new sailing area further afield but wanting the reassurance and expertise of a lead crew. Your Thailand flotilla adventure begins at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, one of the finest departure points for yacht charters in Thailand. After arriving from the airport, enjoy your first glimpses of lush tropical landscapes, golden Buddhist temples, and authentic Thai villages. Settle onto your yacht, meet the flotilla crew, and enjoy your first evening in paradise.
Accessible only by tender through a hidden cave entrance, discover a stunning lagoon surrounded by towering 100-metre cliffs. Explore sea caves, limestone peaks, stalactites, and pristine beaches before enjoying lunch at anchor in crystal-clear waters.
You will spend the night anchored in tranquil Koh Yao Noi, a peaceful island known for its natural beauty and traditional Thai charm. Enjoy dinner aboard your yacht or take a leisurely 30-minute stroll along the main road to the Sunset Restaurant.
For fans of James Bond, you will see stunning views of Phang Nga Bay, featured in the iconic film Man with the Golden Gun, before stopping for lunch at Koh Pak Bia. From here, you will sail to Rai Lei Beach and experience the lively nightlife, including its bars and restaurants.
Head south to laid-back Koh Pu, a hidden gem with long deserted beaches and a wonderfully relaxed pace of life. With only a handful of beachfront restaurants, this is the perfect place to unwind and experience authentic island tranquillity.
Today, the flotilla sails to beautiful Koh Lanta, one of Thailand’s most loved islands. Moor overnight near Bamboo Beach at Hat Kan Tiang, where soft sands, swaying palms and stunning sunsets create a picture-perfect backdrop.
Relax on the beach, swim in warm turquoise waters or take a leisurely sail along the coast of Koh Lanta. Your flotilla lead crew will be on hand with suggestions for the best anchorages and hidden spots.
Sail to the world-famous Phi Phi Islands. Pass by Phi Phi Leh, made famous by the film The Beach, before arriving at Phi Phi Don. You can expect dramatic scenery, lively beach bars and restaurants, and unforgettable island energy.
After the excitement of Phi Phi, today brings a gentler pace at Koh Yao Yai. This traditional island offers peaceful anchorages, authentic Thai culture and a glimpse of traditional island life away from the crowds.
Enjoy a final sail back towards Phuket, stopping for lunch near Koh Naka Yai, and celebrate with your fellow flotilla friends.

TUI Airways have direct flights from Gatwick to Phuket. Indirect flights can be found with multiple airlines including British Airways and Emirates.
Airport transfers are not included in the flotilla rate but can be added at an extra charge. Return group airport transfers are £20/person.
After a successful season in Split in 2025, Bertie continued his journey as skipper for our Thailand flotilla. He will be returning to Phuket from early March to April 2027, after what we are sure will be another successful season in Croatia.
Returning with Bertie for the second half of the Thailand season, following on from a successful season in 2026 in the Kos.

The wet season in Thailand is from May to October which brings hot humid weather and heavy rain.
The best time for a Thailand sailing holiday is between December and April, when conditions are warm, dry, and ideal for cruising the Andaman Sea. January to March are especially popular for sunshine, calm seas, and comfortable temperatures.
Prices vary massively in Thailand depending on which region you are in and if you visit the main tourist destinations or stick to more local areas. In general, the cost of living is relatively low. Tourism is a huge economy in Thailand and therefore prices have risen with its popularity however they still are comparatively less than the UK. If you choose a small local restaurant or street food vendor then you will expect to pay a very reasonable price for good local food.
For yacht charters in Thailand you will need a Day Skipper certificate and a VHF license. You will need to provide a sailing resume detailing charter experience in similar types of conditions to those of Thailand.
Temperatures in Thailand range from 25-30 degrees Celsius. You can expect a little rain, however January to April are the driest months of the year. March is the hottest month with average temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius and consistent sunshine. Sea temperatures are similar to the air temperature.
From November to April the predominant winds are from the north, north west and are typically Force 3-4. At the start of the wet season monsoon weather arrives. Thailand is tidal with a range up to 2m. There are local tidal currents.
